I have been fascinated with past lives since I went through a past life regression to understand unexplainable anxiety. I am curious. Do we have similar personalities in other lives? Is there anything that is the same about me life after life?

Dear Lifetimes of Old,

Absolutely! Let’s backtrack a little to understand energy and the soul a bit better.

Pure spirit is oneness, the essence of love and instant communication. As amazing as this is, spirit is limited when it comes to growth and evolution. Why change if everything is grand? In order to shift, our spirit acquired a soul set with a variety of intuitive gifts uniquely placed to fulfill a purpose — a spiritual vision. A soul can travel and experience joys and traumas in order to learn and love. Each lesson helps shift the greater spirit toward a new stage.

Each time a soul travels, it experiences what we call a lifetime. In the soul’s eyes, a lifetime feels like a dream. When the soul “sleeps” it experiences a life. Sometimes the lives are similar, sometimes they are completely different. Just like dreams, each lifetime is a message. When the soul “wakes up” it may interpret the lifetime’s symbolism in order to continue evolving just like we would interpret a dream to learn.

Going back to your question, there may be many parts of you that are similar in each lifetime, just like in a dream. Our soul travels with the same clique called a soul family. Members of this family will experience lifetimes together over and over again. So you may feel like you “know” someone that you’ve never met. You also may deal with similar issues in many lifetimes, but the only thing that absolutely remains constant is your intuitive gifts. Those come directly from your spirit and you always use those gifts to fulfill your spirit, soul and each particular life purpose.
